We have a new funding opportunity for housing counseling and legal services organizations! With support from the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, we’re offering grants of up to $35,000 to collaborate with the Citywide Homeowner Help Desk (HHD) program. HHD connects low- and moderate-income homeowners across NYC with trusted experts who can help with foreclosure prevention, property tax issues, deed theft, estate planning, and more. #CityOfYes for Housing Opportunity represents the first large-scale effort in years to create more housing across all neighborhoods. We believe — when coupled with needed services and technical support — the initiative can give seniors the chance to age in place, allow families to house their kids after college, and enable intergenerational wealth transfer through the establishment of ADUs.? Supporting affordable projects led by community and faith-based organizations creates new opportunities for our neighbors; investing more resources in home repair and foreclosure prevention helps stabilize communities and ensure that family homes will remain for future generations.
