Center For Mindful Self-Compassion转发了
MINDFUL SELF-COMPASSION TO SUPPORT THE FLOURISHING OF LGBTQ+ I am delighted to be asked to lead a new Circle of Practice initiative for the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion, USA. Beginning Sunday 6 April, I will facilitate voluntarily a monthly practice session to support people who affiliate in some way as LGBTQIAP2S+. The aim is to - cultivate mindful self-compassion practice - a greater sense of belonging and community Each 45-minute session will involve a secular meditative practice, some explanation of concepts, questions and sharing. Mindful Self-Compassion practices are evidenced to improve wellness, wellbeing, motivation and a more caring inner voice. All of you who affiliate are welcome: beginners and people who already have some experience of mindfulness and self-compassion. Details and sign up are via the link below: https://lnkd.in/gMDHZuwr I would be very grateful if you could also pass on details to anyone for whom it could be meaningful. The timing of the session is strategic: to improve access and better support those living in Asia, Africa, Australasia, Europe; as well as supporting those in the Americas Finally I would like to thank the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion for supporting this new initiative to enhance - with a global perspective - diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. This activity is only made possible by strong management and team support. I particularly wish to thank Elijah Zimmerman, Mary Marcdante, Ben Weinstein, Kelin Welborn and my mentor Anna Friis for their ongoing encouragement. #LGBT #LGBT+ #LGBTQIAP2S+ #CenterForMindfulSelfCompassion #MindfulSelfCompassion #selfcompassioninpsychotherapy #CirclesOfPractice #ElijahZimmerman #MaryMarcdante #BenWeinstein #KelinWelborn #Annafriis #NatalieBell #Lisabaylis #christophergermer #kristinneff #RaphaelJayAdjani? #TheDeliciousDelightOfLiving ? #Meditation ? #metta #sati #commonhumanity? #mindfulness #compassion #selfcompassion #karuna

Congratulations to our Executive Director, Elijah Zimmerman, for being nominated for the 2025 Compassionate Leaders Circle Award ??
Compassionate Executive Director | Strategic Leader in Change Management, HR, and Finance | Specialist in Trauma-Informed, Mission-Driven Operations | Ph.D.
I’m honored to be nominated for the Compassionate Leaders Circle Awards. Leadership, for me, is an art I tend to continually—with a focus on clarity, creativity, and compassion. Some days, this comes together seamlessly; other days, it’s a deep process of learning and re-calibrating. The full range of experience—successes, missteps, and everything in between—is part of what makes leadership meaningful. What I appreciate most about these awards is how they bring together a community of people committed to leading with care and integrity. Leadership doesn’t happen in isolation—the power of community makes it possible. Grateful for this recognition and for those who support and shape the work of compassion in the world. #Leadership #ClarityCreativityCompassion #CompassionateLeadership #CLCAwards #CommunityAndLeadership
