In Vietnam and Indonesia, CIPE works to expose the risks associated with China’s Belt and Road Initiative, empowering local stakeholders to resist malign influence. CIPE also supports the economic sovereignty of Pacific Island nations by fostering partnerships with democratic allies.

Global trade supports jobs, expands opportunity, and boosts economic growth. Working with CIPE, businesses in many countries are joining forces to craft and implement robust trade reforms. In Ecuador, our work is creating the first supply chain traceability program in the country, so that banana and other key exports can be more resilient against drug traffickers and other security hazards. Less trade barriers and stronger supply chains = healthier, modern markets for America and its partners.
