CIPE Executive Director Andrew Wilson at the Atlantic Council Freedom and Prosperity Center’s Global Prosperity Forum: “Corrosive capital is a phenomenon of capital from authoritarian states that enters markets and has a corrosive effect on the rule of law in those markets because they promote corruption or they encourage governments to ignore their own laws, labors, and standards. By its nature, like water through cracks, corrosive capital corrodes the rule of law in the country that it’s working in.” #Path2Prosperity

Free markets thrive on competition and a level playing field – but China dominates by breaking the rules. Did you know that it controls half the world's nickel supply for steel and batteries? China distorts prices, exploits forced and child labor, and manipulates laws to undercut fair competition, putting American firms at a disadvantage. Want to know how we can push back? CIPE's latest issue brief offers global policymakers real solutions to mitigate these risks. Check it out! bit.ly/3FDZyVy
