At the Center for Health by Design, we believe that joy is essential to thriving. It’s not just one of our Center values – it’s a way of life. Creating meaningful connections helps fuel our work and brighten our spirits. In our practice, joy isn’t just about big moments, but the little ones too – like a shared laugh over a cup of coffee (at our Innovation Café!). These moments of connection remind us that health isn’t just physical – it's emotional, mental, and social too. ?? Here’s to finding joy in the everyday, in our work, and in each other. Together, we create a space where well-being thrives. ?? Supporting interdisciplinary research on innovative human-centered health interventions that promote health for all
关于我们
The Center for Health by Design (HxD) is a nation-leading and transformative research center that accelerates the science and impact of cutting-edge, human-centered health intervention in high-priority areas. CHxD supports behavioral intervention research to prevent and treat disease and promote health. We use our human-centered process that combines the NIH Stage Model and AHRQ human systems engineering model to ensure behavioral interventions are accessible, usable, useful, acceptable, adhered to, and ultimately primed for success in downstream efficacy, effectiveness, and implementation clinical trials.

Congratulations to Dr. Corey Kalbaugh on the recent publication highlighting the impact of implicit racial bias in healthcare. The study found that vascular specialists with pro-White bias may contribute to disparities in treatment and outcomes for Black patients with peripheral artery disease. This important research underscores the need for system-level interventions to address implicit bias and ensure equitable, evidence-based care for all patients. We are excited about this important work and can't wait to see Dr. Kalbaugh's continued contributions to advancing health equity! Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gHZeD4i2

The Center for Health by Design was thrilled to host a lunch for distinguished speaker Dr. Matthew Lee Smith. Last week we welcomed Dr. Smith from Texas A&M University School of Public Health where he focuses his research on chronic disease management, health risk across the life-course, and the dissemination of evidence-based solutions for older adults. It was an incredible opportunity to connect, learn, and engage with someone who has made such an impact in his field. We are grateful for the opportunity to share knowledge and foster collaboration between our Center, faculty, and Dr. Smith. A big thank you to Indiana University’s Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs for providing lunch. And thank you to the faculty and staff that joined us! We’re excited to continue building meaningful partnerships and advancing the boundaries of research and innovation together! Our space at The Center for Health by Design is continuing to come together! The Innovation Cafe is where members can come for a quick cup of coffee (great on a cold day like today!) and a snack. More importantly the space allows for spontaneous mingling, idea creation, and opportunity for collaboration. We look forward to connecting with our members as this homey cafe continues to grow! #CHxD #InnovationCafe #MissionDriven #IntentionalCommunity #Collaboration
