  • Anxiety disorders, depression, and suicidal thoughts—along with everyday emotional challenges—can significantly affect adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), often at higher rates than those without these disabilities. However, there is a gap between the need for and the availability of mental health services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A recent APA journal issue shares some suggestions for clinicians to help bridge this gap. https://ow.ly/9n1u50VazYh #DDawareness2025 #MentalHealth
