  • #MeetTheFellows?Series: Kateryna Rudich Kateryna Rudich received her bachelor's degree in chemistry from V.N. Karazin National University, Kharkiv, Ukraine. In 2014, she graduated from V.N. Karazin National University, Kharkiv, Ukraine,?with a master's degree in chemistry. After graduation, Kateryna worked as a quality control chemist at the Zdorovye Pharmaceutical Company in Kharkiv, Ukraine. She joined CPM as a visiting researcher in May 2022. In January 2022, she started a Ph.D. program at North Dakota State University. Kateryna is currently working in the Coatings and Polymeric Materials Department under the supervision of Dr. Andriy Voronov and Dr. Mohiuddin Quadir. The Possibility Fellowship is a one-year premier entrepreneurial program that provides select students with guidance for their start-up ventures and an opportunity to meet monthly for unique lectures, individual mentoring, in-depth discussions, analyzing entrepreneurship publications, networking with business leaders and attending events within the entrepreneurship community. Students were selected to join the Fellowship based on several eligibility requirements, including academic excellence, leadership abilities, and a knack for entrepreneurial creativity. Each Fellow will receive a $5,000 scholarship and travel stipend for conference attendance and professional development. He has a specific interest in understanding the recruitment of microbes by invasive plants and the impact of land management practices on the soil microbiome. Lennel is also a current National Microbiome Data Collaborative ambassador. He is passionate about science, data analytics, and the environment and aims to leverage scientific insights to promote healthier and sustainable landscapes.   • The Center is thrilled to continue its support for the?North Dakota State University Three Minute Thesis competition by providing two innovation awards, each worth $500, to the competitors with the most innovative presentations. All 3MT participants are eligible for the innovation awards in addition to the $250 awarded to preliminary round winners and the $1,000 awarded to the championship?round winner. The innovation award recognizes thesis works focusing on developing innovative technology and/or developing a creative solution to a major problem. This award has been established to further the Center's desire to spark creative problem-solving in economic, social, institutional and cultural environments. The innovation awards will be judged by a panel of NDSU faculty and community entrepreneurs. ? The NDSU Three Minute Thesis competition invites graduate students to present a compelling discussion on their research topic to the general public in just three minutes or less. The presentations will be judged on content, comprehension, communication and engagement. Graduate students enrolled for the spring 2025 semester are eligible to register.
