On Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor the lives lost and celebrate the resilience of those who continue to create spaces where trans identities can thrive, even in the face of adversity. NAMI is here to support the trans community today and every day because mental health is for everyone.

关于我们
Center for Discovery has been providing residential and outpatient treatment for adults and teens for over 20 years. At Center for Discovery, we provide treatment for men and women with eating disorders, teens with eating disorders, teens with mental health disorders, and teens with substance abuse issues. Each of our locations is dedicated solely to one of our specialized treatment programs. By keeping each location specialized to one of our treatment programs, we are able to provide the most effective and efficient treatment. All of our locations provide treatment for only a small number of residents at one time to maintain an intimate setting and a high staff to resident ratio. Treatment within a residential neighborhood or outpatient facilities allows our clients to feel more comfortable in a familiar surrounding and provides greater transferability and internalization of the treatment experience to life after treatment. We place a high priority on providing an environment where our clients feel like and are treated like people, never patients.

Had a marvelous time at our Mingling and Mosaics event with Jennifer Vargas Guerra, cohosting for these fabulous NJ eating disorders providers today! There was a moment, once we were all seated around the table, in community, connecting, laughing, when the instructor reassured us “Remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect. It isn’t going to be perfect. That’s not the point.” And I thought, Would you look at this reminder for all of us? How appropriate - It’s a reminder we emphasize to our clients every single day. And yet, I think many of us forget to speak it to ourselves. Here we are embracing imperfection through art. The imperfection is the very essence of the art, really. Thank you ALL for joining Center for Discovery and Hidden River Eating Disorder Treatment today. Jenn and I couldn’t do what we do without you (nor would we want to) and it is an honor to work alongside you all as you support your clients’ and their healing journeys. (Stay tuned…the big reveal of our finished pieces is coming to this space in about a week or so!)

??Mingling and Mosaics with Hidden River Eating Disorder Treatment and Center for Discovery ?? Today was about more than just creativity—it was about connection, understanding, and collaboration. As we pieced together our mosaics, we also shared ideas, experiences, and insights. Each tile represented not only creativity but also the resilience and strength we witness daily in the individuals we serve. Events like these are a reminder that behind every clinical role is a compassionate human being dedicated to making a difference. I'm grateful to be part of a field where collaboration and care go hand in hand. To everyone who joined, thank you for sharing your time, your stories, and your artistry. Let’s continue building something beautiful together—both in our work and in the lives we touch. And a special “shout out” to the best piece of my outreach mosaic today, Cathy Lane, who co hosted this event with me! #EatingDisorders #Clinicians #Community #Collaboration #HealingThroughArt
