Dear Creativity and Change Leadership Community, Exciting things are happening, and we want you to be part of it! We’ve just reached a monumental milestone—on Tuesday, March 11th the SUNY Board of Trustees officially approved our resolution to establish Buffalo State University’s first-ever doctoral program: the Doctor of Professional Studies in Creativity and Change Leadership. With this approval, our proposal is now headed to the New York State Education Department for final review. This is a historic step for Buffalo State and the Center for Applied Imagination! The photo is of the CCL faculty celebrating the news together! But that’s not all—we are also launching another transformative initiative: the creation of an Innovation Suite in Butler Library. This dynamic space will honor our rich legacy while serving as a cutting-edge learning laboratory, where creativity methods can be actively applied to real-world campus and community challenges. The Alex Osborn Brainstorming Room will officially open this summer, marking the first step in bringing this vision to life. And today, we have an opportunity to make it happen together! Buffalo State’s seventh annual Day of Giving is here, and we need YOU—our passionate, loyal, and vibrant community—to help us double our impact from last year. Dear Creativity and Change Leadership Community, Exciting things are happening! After years of planning, the first phase of our Innovation Suite is finally becoming a reality! Right now, as I write this, renovations to the Osborn Brainstorming Room are underway, and by the end of March, we’ll be installing state-of-the-art technology to enhance creative collaboration. Our vision? To open the doors in time for the Creative Problem Solving Institute’s return to Buffalo State this summer! This space will serve as a hub for applied creativity, bringing together campus and community groups to tackle complex challenges using the power of Creative Problem Solving. We’re almost there—but we need your help to reach the finish line. A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has supported this project so far. Your generosity has made this milestone possible! However, we still have three more phases to complete, and a funding gap remains between our projected costs and current funds. That’s why this year’s Day of Giving is more important than ever.
