?? Hi Mobility friends! It's that time of the year! WERC's GWS is finally upon us and I can't wait to have an amazing week with you. Two things you should have in your calendar right now. Number one, there's a supplier summit on Thursday at 8.30 in the morning. Diane Ayres has put together what will likely be the best supplier session in all of WERC history. A great RMC panel, fantastic corporate panelists, and then there's a roundtable session. So put it in your calendar 8.30 Thursday. The second thing is the Mobility Ignite sessions. We have 12 presenters each presenting five minutes with 20 Slides that automatically progress every 15 seconds. Come support your peers and have a blast while learning insights fast. That's Thursday at 2.30 - mark your calendar. And lastly, I'm excited to announce that I am moving into the head of supply chain at Cend. This is bringing me back to my roots. I am excited about digitally enabling the moving supply chain into your mobility ecosystem and your platform. It's what gets me up and excited in the morning. So I can't wait to talk to you more about it. I hope you're all doing well. Have an amazing week. Travel safe, and I look forward to seeing you soon. Cheers.

?? Hi Mobility Friends! Thursday night, the longshoremen's union association agreed to suspend a strike that closed down the ports on the US east coast and gulf. This is a big win for labor and the union, who see a 62% increase in wages over the next 6 years. It's a win for Talent Mobility, who will not see their international transferees HHGs get held up in the ports and huge demurrage charges. And it's a big win for America, where we won't see Americans finding things out of stock and paying exorbitant prices over the holidays because of supply/demand issues. While this isn't over, and the two sides need to resolve the agreement by January 15th, it's great to see the government working effectively to bring the two parties to the table and getting things resolved. This had the conditions where it was likely to be a long slog to resolve and painful for many. I'm feeling grateful that cooler heads have prevailed. Happy Friday to you all. Cheers.

Recent escalating issues in the Middle East, combined with the devastating hurricane in the US, seem to be putting pressure on all parties to restore port operations. While we want to avoid making any political statements or appearing to express gratitude for a hurricane that resulted in the loss of life, it is encouraging to see the US government taking action and drawing attention to the situation. This marks the first sign of focus, which will hopefully lead to a solution to this critical issue for industry and commerce as a whole.
