  • New York’s Medicaid PDPM transition is here—Celtic Consulting is helping providers navigate the change with confidence. This week, Celtic’s Maureen McCarthy kicked off the American College of Healthcare Administrators, New York Chapter’s Annual Convention with her session, "Vacuum the RUGs! Medicaid CMI Transition to PDPM." As NY providers navigate the shift from RUGs to PDPM for Medicaid reimbursement, Maureen broke down the key changes and strategies facilities need to ensure success in this transition. Building on that momentum, Maureen teamed up with Celtic’s Angie Dominie on Tuesday to present "Going the Extra Mile: Running Effective CMI Meetings for PDPM Case Mix." This session tackled how nurse leaders must refine and strengthen their CMI meeting systems to optimize PDPM case mix, ensuring both accurate reimbursement and quality outcomes. A big thank you to ACHCA NY Chapter for hosting such a fantastic event, and to all the attendees who joined the discussion! If your facility needs guidance for the PDPM transition ahead, CMI meeting best practices, or Medicaid reimbursement strategies, Celtic is here to help!
