Her fresh perspective and enthusiasm for the field has brought great energy to our projects. ?? We are happy to announce a Phase I SBIR awarded to us by The National Institutes of Health/NIH SEED + National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) program. ?? This award (R43TR005112) will support the further development of our innovative Odyssey System platform towards a novel use case, namely for standardizing the preparation and delivery of cell-laden hydrogel based therapies. We believe tissue-engineered therapeutics will become a major modality used in the treatment of chronic solid-tissue based diseases, but will require significant standardization and simplification before they can be translated to patients at meaningful scale. The proposed research will enable us to adopt our technology for these emerging therapies. ?? Please follow us to stay updated on our progress! ??

Our CTO Marcus Foley recently joined CryoChats to discuss the Odyssey System, our flexible and accessible process automation platform for the CGT field. CryoChats is a community led by Evia Bio, a company focused on the preservation of cell-based therapies through their supply chain. ???

We’re thrilled to introduce Nikhil M. (Nico) as our new Robotics Engineer! We promise, him sharing a name with one of our founders neither hurt nor helped him get the job ??. Nico is a Biomedical Engineer by training (BS and MS from Johns Hopkins University). During school, he was an undergraduate and graduate student researcher and developed animal-inspired robots (snakes, specifically) for search and rescue missions. ?? ?? Most recently, he was a Systems Integration Engineer in J&J’s Robotics and Digital Solutions group, where he developed algorithms to make robotic and laparoscopic surgical tools “smarter”, with the goal of improving patient outcomes during surgery. ?? We look forward to his contributions towards the development of the Odyssey System - join us in welcoming Nico to the team! ??
