Hydrogen can be safer than petroleum, and definitely safer than batteries.

We are burning for hydrogen tanks and therefore so are our tanks In order for the tanks to be used on the road, they must be certified - for Europe this is governed by UNECE regulation number 134. One of the tests to obtain road approval and the most spectacular is the bonfire test, which you can see in the video below.? The tanks are exposed to fire and must safely release the hydrogen without bursting. Our Carbon4Tank passed this test with flying colors. You can see how we produce these safe tanks here: https://lnkd.in/g_dg3DjQ #HydrogenStorageTechnologies #H2 #transport #decarbonization #H2Tank #Voith

The future (and present) of drones is powered by hydrogen. ?? Hydrogen drones fly 5-6 times longer than battery-powered drones. ?? Hydrogen drones are fully electric, unlike gasoline-powered drones. With hydrogen, you get extended flight times without compromising reliability or data quality. The result: faster and more cost-efficient drone operations. Join us in building the future (and present) of drone services. #Hydrogen #Drones #UAV

    Co-Founder @ Cellen | Hydrogen Drones & Refueling

Advancements in hydrogen technologies are transforming unmanned aerial systems (UAS), offering extended flight times and enhanced resilience. In a recent article from Inside Unmanned Systems, Andy Kelly from Intelligent Energy explains: "Hydrogen fuel cells allow drones to operate longer without recharging...a fuel cell replaces the battery, allowing for extended flights, such as two to three hours compared to a battery’s 15–30 minutes." At Cellen, we're leading this transformation by providing hydrogen-powered drones that enhance productivity in infrastructure inspection, asset monitoring, and mapping. Our multirotor drones offer over two hours of flight time, significantly reducing the need for frequent battery swaps and elevating operational efficiency. By embracing hydrogen, we're extending drone capabilities and creating more resilient drone operations. Hydrogen is an energy vector with outstanding properties that will drive innovation across different sectors without depleting our planet's resources. For drones, hydrogen allows for much longer flight times than batteries without any of the compromises that come with using gasoline. This is great thought leadership from Jürgen Laakmann, CEO of Enapter. #hydrogen #drones

CEO @ Enapter - Bringing Green Hydrogen to the World

Debunking H2 myths – How #AEM Electrolysis causes anything but water scarcity?? First things first: Even though most of central Europe has faced massive amounts of rain in the past months, I believe that the overall increasing scarcity of clean fresh water is a major global challenge. And it's getting worse. Think of the current situation in Spain and Southern Italy. Remember the last summer. The year 2023 has been confirmed as the hottest on record. Already today, the issue of scarce fresh water is a real consequence of climate change in many regions worldwide. At Enapter, our AEM electrolysis technology is designed to replace fossil fuels with decentralised green hydrogen production, contributing to the fight against climate change. While we know that green hydrogen will play a pivotal role on the path to decarbonisation, some common myths and misconceptions about it still persist. Time to shed light on the facts. ????????: Water electrolysis wastes vast amounts of freshwater. ????????: Producing 1 kg of H2 with our AEM Electrolysers requires ~10.08 liters of water. To meet the EU's 2030 target of 10 million tons of hydrogen, we'd need around 100 million tons of water. That’s less than 0.005% of the EU's annual freshwater resources, 0.05% of France's, and just 0.03% of the EU27's annual rainfall. ?????????? ?????????????????? ????????????????????: Crude oil recovery and diesel refining use about 40% more water per unit of energy than green hydrogen production. This means that 9 litres of water would be required to: ? Refine enough diesel to travel for 40 km ? Produce enough H2 to travel 100 km In the end, green hydrogen is not a silver bullet, but it will play a key role in decarbonising energy use around the world. Feel free to share this slideshow with anyone who should learn more about H2. Interested in starting your own green hydrogen project?
