Celanese is partnering with Henkel to enhance #circularity in emulsion production using carbon capture-based materials. Our innovative carbon capture and utilization technology captures industrial CO2 emissions and converts them into methanol, which forms 35% of vinyl acetate monomer – a crucial element to produce polymers often used in adhesive formulations. By leveraging this technology, Henkel will offer customers water-based adhesives made from captured CO2 emissions, creating new opportunities for the packaging and consumer goods sectors to increase the renewable content of their products.
