Combined expertise in a cGMP-compliant approach to manufacture cells at scale with innovative technologies and equipment. ? Transferring laboratory protocols to cGMP, up-scaling of processes and achieving Food and Drug Administration standards to bring innovative cell therapy solutions to researchers and translational scientists. ? Our experiment this August producing stem cells in space was a big team effort! ?? Here, NASA astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson inserts a BioServe Space Technologies BioCell into a microscope on the International Space Station National Laboratory. Inside are cells prepared by our team at Cedars-Sinai, provided by Allen Institute for Cell Science and the Cedars-Sinai Biomanufacturing Center. Also critical is mission support from Axiom Space, Leidos, SpaceX, Northrop Grumman, NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and KEYENCE CORPORATION. Proud to announce that I’ve completed a Cell and Gene Therapy certification program at Cedars-Sinai Biomanufacturing Center! The skills and techniques that I have developed during these 5 intensive weeks have encompassed all aspects of cGMP and biomanufacturing. With a background in clinical research, I now see the greater applications and what it takes to create a safe cell and gene therapy product.? ? Being a part of this program has been an honor, and I am very grateful to all the trainers and CBC team who gave their time, insight, and expertise to further my knowledge and understanding. Working with human-induced Pluripotent Stem Cells has been amazing and truly emphasizes the significance of collaborating towards cures and comprehensive therapies for patients.
