James Woody, a resident at Cedarhurst of Bethalto, owned his own construction business for over 40 years. Now, James finds joy in observing the current renovation projects at his community. “Woody is the face of our Cedarhurst of Bethalto Memory Care expansion project,” said Madison Kunkel, Senior Project Engineer at Brahms Construction, LLC. “He greets our subcontractors daily and checks on the progress. This is the second 70th anniversary celebration in a week across Cedarhurst communities, a rare and remarkable achievement with only 1 in 1,000 couples reaching such an occasion. Over 50 guests from outside the community joined us to celebrate Jerry and Shirley’s beautiful love story. Our amazing team pulled out all the stops with a huge cake, stunning flowers, and festive decorations, making the day unforgettable for everyone. Shirley and Jerry’s seven decades of love and devotion are a true inspiration.
