Did you know there’s a difference between being neurodivergent and having a developmental disAbility? ??Neurodivergence refers to individuals whose brain functions differ from the typical, including conditions like ADHD, autism, or dyslexia. It highlights the unique ways a person processes information, communicates, learns, and interacts with the world. Developmental disAbilities, on the other hand, are chronic conditions caused by mental or physical impairments that arise before adulthood and affect daily functioning in areas such as language, mobility, learning, self-care, or independent living. While there can be overlap—for example, some individuals with autism may also have developmental disAbilities—each term represents distinct aspects of individual differences. ??Cedar Bridge Foundation serves individuals with both neurodivergence and developmental disAbilities, helping to create more inclusive and supportive communities that embrace and celebrate unique abilities. ?? #cedarbridgefoundation
