We recently received a question about a drop in the percentage of new donors acquired during pledge who are becoming sustaining donors. This puzzle led us to investigate how donor trends, particularly with PBS Passport streaming benefits, might be influencing giving patterns. Through CDP Insights, we found that TV-only stations were seeing declines in sustaining gifts, while radio-only stations were thriving. It turns out that a possible dip in interest in Passport benefits could be affecting pledge drives, causing a decrease in sustaining gifts. ?? Want to dive deeper into this mystery?
