Had our first METAL for America boot camp last week ?? Participants got hands-on experience with the metal casting process, from creating their own molds to pouring metal to different methods of post-processing. This is the first of many boot camps, providing upskilling to both students and professionals focused on casting, forging and plate rolling. Happy #M4Monday ? The M4 Division team created a full-scale pelvis model for a patient with a complex pelvic ring injury sustained in a car accident. The model was printed in two pieces due to size constraints of the printer and connected using pins and holes after post-processing. The surgical team used the model during a revision surgery to help correct the limb length difference and better align the pelvis.
