Housing Partnership Network, in collaboration with the The Anne & Henry Zarrow Foundation, CDFI Friendly Tulsa, and local leaders, is tackling Tulsa’s affordable housing crisis. This partnership aims to build development capacity for local housing projects, attract critical investment capital, and support community-focused developers, especially in underserved areas like North Tulsa. Fueled by nearly $1 million in philanthropic support, the new Tulsa Housing Partnership is a bold step toward expanding access to safe, affordable housing and revitalizing communities with a history of disinvestment. Together, we’re building a stronger, more equitable Tulsa. #HousingForAll #CommunityDriven #EquityInHousing

We have been hard at work in the last 6 months, meeting with Tulsans who need financing and technical assistance options and connecting them to CDFIs who can help. We look forward to helping more borrowers access capital to start their businesses, expand their organizations, and develop affordable housing! #TulsaOK #Tulsa #CDFIs
In just its first 6 months of work, CDFI Friendly Tulsa (CFT) has produced impressive results. It surfaced more than $58 million in financing demand for small businesses, commercial real estate, affordable housing, and other purposes in #Tulsa. Two loans have closed, and several are near closing. CFT is getting more inquiries every week. Of the prospective borrowers who submitted inquiries: 77% are BIPOC 69% are Black or African American, and 53% are women. This progress reflects the hard work of Isaiah Coleman, CFT’s Director of #CDFI Matching, and its Board of Directors, with the support of The Anne & Henry Zarrow Foundation. The demand exceeds projections in CFT’s business plan, released late last year. It represents more than 125 meetings with entrepreneurs, local and regional businesses and organizations, and others. Yesterday we launched our #CDFIMarketMap for free public use. People are using this interactive tool to see the coverage gaps in CDFI lending—which we call 'CDFI Deserts'. CDFI Deserts are places with populations greater than 10,000, where the need for CDFI financing is high but CDFI lending per capita over the past 18 years is less than 80% of the national average. Here's a list of the 15 largest CDFI Desert places (by population) and their CDFI lending per capita. Two cities that recently became #CDFIFriendly communities are on the list. Places like #Tulsa, Oklahoma and #FortWorth, Texas, are a great fit for CDFI Friendly America.
