Devon & I talked to the inspiring and vivacious Sandy Ko Fonseca yesterday. She shared the story behind CCWomen and her purpose for starting it. As a young career professional feeling lost and unsure, she watched female role models in the business world who seemingly had everything figured out. Craving success of her own, she was anxious to learn their secrets to success. ? What resonated with me was the fact that, although she didn’t have the skills and experience these women possessed, she built relationships with those she wanted to learn from. And, unsurprisingly, they were ALL receptive. ? What speaks volumes is their willingness to dedicate time and energy to help lift her up while sharing wisdom and mentorship with seemingly "nothing in it for them". ? This struck a chord because… ?? 1?? - I, too, am hungry to learn and grow. I want to hear and understand other's journeys in the hopes of applying the lessons or insights into my own. Not only their successes, but also failures--both are valuable. 2?? - I want to be that woman for other women. Giving my time and sharing wisdom with those who see the value in it. ? Flash forward, CCWomen has grown exponentially and continues to. It's an open space to talk freely, sharing the struggles and triumphs that we all experience. ? I admire Sandy & her mission even more than I did before (if possible), and look forward to being part of a growing cause and community. ??
