Since I joined the Board, CCI has grown and evolved alongside those we serve. While I am sure to miss so many, there are a few folks who I need to thank for their contributions to my journey with #CCI: - Jim for throwing open the door when I first inquired about getting involved, - Darcie, Leigh Anne & Arthur for their fearless leadership, - Dawn for being an inspiration and elevating my early contributions, - Tabitha and her mastery of collaboration (we take at least one more shot at trying to solve world peace in the future!), - Elaine & Marian for modeling how to lead and effect change, - Simone for centering our community in every conversation, - Sharon for role modeling effective volunteerism and impact, - Deb for accepting the first baton I passed and elevated all of us, - Melissa for bettering everyone with the depth of her expertise and insight, - Sharon for demonstrating how to ask the "big question," and - Our entire community of high-impact volunteers across numerous committees and task forces who drive us forward and keep us connected to the latest evidence! There are great things ahead for the perioperative nursing and surgical services communities.
