????? Hurricane Beryl damaged the apartment Marie was supposed to move into, plus it knocked out the electricity. Since she’d already moved out of their previous home, Marie’s family were in limbo. ?? ?? Because of you, Marie and her children got emergency financial assistance so they could stay in the hotel while their new apartment was being repaired. That hotel kept Marie and her kids off the street.???? “You went above and beyond for me,” Marie said. “I wasn’t just viewed as a person looking for a handout. I was seen as a human being.” ?? Catholic Charities CEO Cynthia Nunes Colbert joined others on this cold day at a Mass to welcome incoming Archbishop for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, Bishop Joe S. Vásquez, currently Bishop of Austin. Archbishop-Designate Vásquez will be installed March 25. He's excited about this new beginning and asks us all to pray for him. Catholic Charities extends our gratitude and love to Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, whose resignation was accepted by Pope Francis.
