Applications for this year’s Panetta Internship Program are due Monday, March 24th! ????? Each fall semester, one California State University student is selected to participate in a fully-funded internship through the Panetta Institute for Public Policy. This incredible experience includes: ? Two weeks of training at the Panetta Institute on the Monterey Peninsula ? 11 weeks in Washington, D.C. working in a California member of the U.S. House of Representatives’ office ? Opportunities to attend seminars with government leaders, journalists, and policy experts ? Earn academic credit through your experiential journal and research paper Interested in applying? The Faculty Fellow program provides in-depth training, an honorarium/stipend, and a materials allowance for integrating service-learning into a new or existing course. Miguel Orde?ana, a wildlife biologist and environmental educator with the Natural History Museum of L.A. County, will be presenting “Exploring Wildlife of L.A.’s Urban Core: A Community Effort.” Orde?ana has dedicated his life to researching and connecting the community with wildlife across some of the most unlikely parts of L.A. He researches urban mammals, discovered P22 (the world’s most famous mountain lion!) in Griffith Park, and created of a number of highly successful community science programs including Backyard Bats and Bat Roost Count.
