After a 48-year career in broadcasting, our general manager is retiring. J.R. Jackson has forever been a knowledgeable boss and friendly face to see around the building. He will be missed! We had the chance to say one final goodbye to him this week before his final day on Friday.

Congratulations to Stefani Booroojian Cotta on a truly amazing 42 year career at KSEE24. We thank her for her exemplary service to our company and community. ++++++ FRESNO JOURNALISM ICON STEFANI BOOROOJIAN ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT FROM KSEE24 FRESNO, CA — (For Immediate Release) Stefani Booroojian, a seminal figure in Fresno journalism, has announced her retirement from daily newscasts, with her final appearance scheduled for Friday, June 28, on KSEE NBC24. Born & raised in Fresno, Booroojian has been a staple in local news for over 42 years, earning her the respect & admiration of the community she served. Stefani shared she will still be a part of the community, “KSEE24 has been such a huge part of my life for such a big part of my life, it's tough to say good-bye. I am, however, ready, & excited about this next chapter. I'm not saying a final good-bye to the community because I still plan to be a part of the Central Valley. I'm looking forward to making connections in a way other than on a television screen. Life will be different for me, but I'm ready for whatever lies ahead!" A distinguished alum of both Fresno City College and Fresno State, Booroojian has spent her illustrious career committed to excellence in journalism. Her impactful storytelling and integrity have not only informed but also connected communities locally & internationally—from Fresno to Armenia. "Stefani has been more than just a news anchor; she has been the heart & soul of our newsroom for four decades," said JR Jackson General Manager & Vice President of Nexstar’s KSEE and KGPE stations. "Her steadfast presence and compassionate reporting have made her a household name. Stefani is truly family to many in this community." Matthew Rosenfeld, Senior Vice President Regional Manager, expressed his deep respect for Booroojian's long-standing service, stating, "Stefani Booroojian has exemplified what it means to serve both an industry and her community with integrity & passion. Her tireless dedication and exemplary conduct have set a high standard for journalism in Fresno, leaving a legacy that will undoubtedly inspire future generations of journalists." Booroojian's commitment extended beyond journalism. She has been a fervent advocate for community service, volunteering for numerous local events and initiatives. Notably, she spearheaded KSEE24’s BuddyCheck program for over 28 years, promoting monthly self-examinations for breast cancer awareness, which underscores her dedication to community health. This is just one example of the plethora of community initiatives she supported during her tenure. She has been recognized with multiple journalism awards, including four Emmy Awards and numerous Associated Press accolades, celebrating her dedication to both the profession & her community. Stefani’s legacy will continue to influence both the journalistic landscape & the community initiatives she has passionately supported. Nexstar Media Group, Inc. CBS47 and KSEE24
