Regional gas station chain Sheetz is cutting prices at some of its pumps before the Thanksgiving holiday, which is one of the busiest holidays for travelers. The company said it is reducing the cost of its unleaded 88 by 40 cents a gallon at the 505 locations that offer the specific type of fuel.

Target is heading into the holiday season with a gloomy outlook, with the retailer reporting its sales and profit fell short of analysts' expectations and lowering its earnings forecast for the current quarter. Spirit Airlines said it has filed for bankruptcy protection and will attempt to reboot as it struggles to recover from the?pandemic-caused swoon in travel and failed attempts to sell itself to other carriers.
