A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our #CFO day at the Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology Factory this week. We brought together members from our portfolio companies for a fantastic day?filled with insightful presentations and discussions on AI, data, pricing and communication? Highlights included presentations from: - Ed Thompson from Salesforce on AI - Jason Carley and Alexander Desyatnik?from Pearson Ham Group | The Pricing Specialists on pricing strategy - Natalie Cramp, Fraser Sym and Anush Newman from JMAN Group on data? - Sally Murphy from Welltold on communication and story telling The day wrapped up with the group competing in teams across a range of Formula 1 tests, including driver simulations, reaction testing and changing the tyres in an F1 pit stop challenge. CBPE is delighted to announce it has realised its investment in Centralis Group, a leading international alternative asset and corporate services provider, to HGGC, generating a return of c.5.3x MoC for Fund IX. CBPE partnered with the management team in a primary buyout of Centralis in May 2020. The last five years have seen significant investment in the business, with headcount growing from 134 to 440 along with new systems and technology to support future sustainable growth. Alongside continued double-digit organic growth, the business has completed and integrated seven acquisitions since CBPE invested. These acquisitions have expanded Centralis’ presence within alternative assets, a large and growing end market, alongside its existing client base of blue chip multi-national corporates. Combined organic and inorganic growth has led to revenue increasing over threefold under CBPE’s investment. We are really excited to be working alongside Neil Greenaway and the rest of his excellent team. This marks the tenth deal from Fund X (￡561m, 2021 vintage). Last week we hosted our investors from around the world at The Berkeley for our AGM. It was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on our achievements over the past year and to provide an update on the whole portfolio. We were also lucky enough to have six of our portfolio companies' executives there to present. Many thanks to Paul Roberts, Fabrice Chartier, Joe Hantson, Dermot Caden, Simon Grosse and Garry Partington for their insightful and engaging sessions.
