Over 30 side events at COP16, led by or in collaboration with the CBD Women’s Caucus, brought together women from different regions and sectors to share their powerful stories and hands-on work in biodiversity conservation. ?? From Cali, Colombia, women warriors from different backgrounds, groups, and regions came together to share their stories, experiences, challenges, the work they do to conserve biodiversity and implement the GBF, and their visions for greater inclusivity and gender justice for women and girls. They also brought their expertise, ideas, and knowledge, enriching the discussions and inspiring action. ?? Sharon Ruthia who coordinated these events on behalf of the CBD Women's Caucus, reflects on how these gatherings provided a unique opportunity for women from diverse backgrounds to connect, inspire, and unite in the fight for gender justice at all levels.
