Big news! The first hearing for AB 1175 is set for April 8, 2025, when it will be heard by the Assembly Business & Professions Committee. This is the next step in the journey toward modernizing CPA licensure in California! ?? ? What’s next for AB 1175? Here are other key dates to watch: June 6, 2025: deadline for the bill to pass the Assembly and move to the senate September 12, 2025: deadline for bills to be passed to the Governor October 2025: if signed into law, AB 1175 will officially be enacted January 1, 2026: IF passed, the law takes effect July 1, 2026: IF passed, the new CPA licensure requirements begin ?
