Empowering the San Diego business community to collaborate, face-to-face, about social impact initiatives that make San Diego a better place to live, work, and play. Over the past few decades we have left the issues of improving our communities mostly up to the government and the non-profit sector. The traditional business community has typically been a funder and participated on nonprofit boards. That is no longer good enough. It is time for business leaders to become more active in social impact initiatives. It is time for them to take some of their time and energy and focus it on making San Diego a better place to live, work and play. The next generation of workers are demanding this and our communities need it. But it is not as easy as it should be: there are many disparate organizations making progress, but the business community doesn’t have a cohesive picture. The Cause San Diego's Cause Conference will shine a light on the people and organizations that are driving change. This is a single day and place that will bring together business leaders (both for-profit and nonprofit), gov’t, education, impact investors, philanthropists, and more to learn about what others are doing and create opportunities for collaboration. This is the third year the conference is focused on the broader business community and we look forward to making our 26th Annual Cause Conference THE place to be for Social Impact in the years to come.

One, two, three, four..Marine Corps, a one, two, three and four...Marine Corps. Back in 1775, Marine Corps..our Marine Corps came alive. A one, two, three and four..Marine Corps! This November 10, 2024 marks the 249th Marine Corps Birthday and there's a pretty awesome charity walk taking place that day at Mission Bay. It's to support a nonprofit I volunteer with, HomeAid San Diego. This family-friendly event is a 3-mile run/walk and a chance to learn more about the issues facing the homeless in our region and the solutions in action. We will have nonprofit charities set up at our event who can provide details about the housing and support services they offer each day in our region.
