Congratulations to Taylor Teed, PE, Sr. Mechanical Engineer at CRA, who gave a wonderful presentation at the I2SL National Conference with Laura Finuf of Hord Coplan Macht - They presented on the Lab Ventulation Risk Assesment (LVRA) tool used for teaching labs. Cator, Ruma & Associates and Iconergy, Ltd. are honored to be presenting a case study on adaptive reuse highlighting the conversion of the North Wing of the Engineering Center at the University of Colorado Boulder campus at the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) Annual Conference. Ryan Lee, Mechanical Engineering Associate at Cator, Ruma, and Pete Salmon, Director of Commissioning at Iconergy present design achievements and challenges of the project. The team will present project statistics, the existing conditions of the building, its infrastructure limitations, and adaptive design. Ryan and Pete will emphasize the importance of sustainable laboratory design best practices for adaptive reuse facilities and the benefits of using performance benchmarks.
