As I'm wrapping up my final week at CatholicVote, it feels bittersweet. My Political internship has been a place where I've grown both professionally and personally.
CatholicVote is an organization that champions servant-leadership. I was privileged to work with our Field Director Logan Church, our National Field Director (and good friend) Joseph Cantwell, our Story Production Project Manager Emily Glover, Senior Intern Rachel Piazza, fellow intern Gianna De Rosa, recruiter Lindsey R., and our Nevada Regional Field Coordinator Giuseppe (Joe) Locatelli.
Each of these incredible people encouraged me to take initiative, and created an environment of true collaboration, where every voice and perspective is taken into account to provide the best outcome. I was able to gain experience in sheets, organizing data, making cold calls, designing graphics, creating plans to improve efficiency, and scheduling events.
Though initially only contracted to be a political intern in the spring, my contract was extended to the summer internship program. This allowed me to reach hundreds of American Catholics across the country, to learn about the issues that affect them, and to help facilitate outreach to empower Catholics to show up to vote.
I'm incredibly grateful to God for this experience, and will carry the lessons learned with me to law school.
