St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center and Gift of Life have once again partnered to provide life-changing heart surgery to a child in need, an 11-year-old girl from Uganda. In 1975, the first Gift of Life patient received a lifesaving heart surgery at St. Francis Hospital.?Now, Brilliant Phillipah has traveled from Africa to Roslyn to become the 50,000th patient to receive a lifesaving surgery. “I’m so grateful to St. Francis Hospital and Gift of Life,” said Bridget Nakazibwe, Brilliant's mother. “God leads the way—we are in the right place.
