This week, St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center's Dr. Ziad Ali performed the first use of an investigational drug-coated balloon (DCB) as part of the PREVAIL GLOBAL Trial (Medtronic). This study will enroll patients who require treatment for in-stent restenosis (ISR)—a narrowing of a coronary artery that has been previously treated with a stent—as well as de novo small vessel disease.
