St. Joseph was a man of many names and gifts, and today we honor all of them. A humble man, St. Joseph was ordained by God as the guardian of Christ, to be his protector, provider, and model of prayer. Consider the weight of his responsibility, but also his joy to live in perpetual adoration of God in the flesh! As this descendent of kings chose a modest life of service, may we seek to model his leadership, obedience, faithfulness and humility. #CatholicLeaders #StJoseph #StJosephTheWorkman

Children are messy, but aren't we all? This week, Dan's overreaction to his youngest's handprints on his freshly painted walls made him pause and reconsider his approach, both with his kids and those hesitant to enter the Church because of a tarnished past. Does my evangelism take the form of encouragement and gentle correction, or shame? ?? Today the Church honors St. Patrick, the patron of Ireland. His evangelism is credited with the Catholic conversion of the nation. After escaping from enslavement in the island country, Patrick returned to the land of his bondage to spread the gospel to unfriendly Irish pagans. He used the shamrock as a model to explain the Holy Trinity. As we witness our faith to those around us, let us?model St. Patrick's courage and conviction in the face of hostility. #StPatricksDay #Shamrock?#LuckOfTheIrish #StPatricksBreastplate #CatholicLeaders?

One can never be too careful! In today's DIAL, Dan recounts being tricked into divulging his credit card information, reminding readers to ask God for wisdom and protection against exploitation. In what areas of my life am I most vulnerable in leaving the path to holiness? ?? Memento mori! Today marks Ash Wednesday, the transition?to the solemn season of Lent. During this time, Christians imitate Christ's 40 days of penance and self-denial. Above all, Lent prepares us for Holy Week. In the words of Archbishop Fulton Sheen, "First comes the fast, then comes the feast." Let us ask Jesus for the strength to follow Him into the desert, so that by dying to ourselves, we may merit eternal life, through His transformative grace and love.? #CatholicLeaders #MementoMori #Lent #AshWednesday

"He's called. He's got to follow." Terese Flanagan would say this about her husband, Tim, when supporting him in his mission to serve the Church and ultimately, found Catholic Leadership Institute. This week, Terese herself was called to God. In this reflection, Dan recalls how Terese was often the silent partner in her husband's work. Who are the "silent partners" in your life? ?? This week, members of our full-time team gathered in Philadelphia and St. Louis for a first look and deep-dive into the our new Strategic Plan. It is bold and we are excited to continue to Forge the Future, Embolden the Clergy, and Ignite Parishes in new and apostolic ways. Will you join us in prayer as we prepare to launch this plan in the weeks and months ahead? *Special thanks to Archbishop Mitchell Rozanski for celebrating Mass for the team in St. Louis at the Shrine of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne. ??Prayer for Leaders ?? Dear Lord, We pray that you will create among us Catholic leaders; individuals made in your image who will apply your teachings in their lives and positively impact our families, our workplaces, our communities, and our Church. Help us to inspire those with whom we come in contact to share their God-given talents, to do your will and to find a place in your kingdom where their deepest joys and the world’s deepest hungers meet and cry for their special qualities and abilities. Make us leaders, Lord, leaders with strength and courage to follow you. Leaders who make your love visible to the world in all of our words and actions. Amen.
