We are thrilled to announce that Catholic Homes of New York and our affiliate, the New York Institute for Human Development, have been awarded a prestigious FY 2024 Capital Magnet Fund (CMF) Award by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s CDFI Fund. This recognition places us among 48 organizations nationwide. It is part of a $246.4 million initiative to address the affordable housing crisis and support vital community facilities for low-income individuals and families. The CMF award enables us to: ?? Leverage federal funds to attract at least 10x in private investment, fueling over $6.8 billion in projects nationwide. ?? Strategically invest in predevelopment costs, ensuring the creation of affordable housing in economically distressed and gentrifying neighborhoods across New York City. ???
