Last Friday, our Catholic Eldercare Operations leadership group packed meals at Feed My Starving Children and had a lot of fun doing it! Grateful for these leaders dedicating time to serve outside of our walls.
Catholic Eldercare staff had the privilege of presenting at the Leading Age MN Institute yesterday. Kiran Dahlin, Director of Campus Life Enrichment, Chris Johnson, Director of Infection Control and Staff Advancement and Roxy Tietz, Adult Day Program Director did a fabulous job on their presentation "Bridging the Gap: Building Effective Interdepartmental Communication" We are so proud and fortunate to have these three on our team!

Great piece published in the Minneapolis Star Tribune a few days ago featuring Chaplain Annie Lees of Catholic Eldercare (gift link, so there shouldn't be a paywall). Spiritual care for elders is beautiful and immensely important work, and often flies under the radar. I also think it's noteworthy that the reporter who wrote this story sought out a quote from Catholic Eldercare's CEO about the gifts that Chaplain Lees brings to her ministry. Leaders of spiritual care departments: how are you ensuring that the work of your employees is understood and appreciated by executives in your healthcare system or facility -- not just the work we do in times of crisis, but each and every day we report to work? When I talk about advocating for our profession, this is exactly what I mean.
