At the core of Catholic Charities East Bay's work lies a simple and profound purpose: to uplift and provide a lifeline to neighbors facing some of the most troubling challenges in the East Bay. We are not just a charity: we put into action the call of our faith by offering a hand up in order to keep people housed, provide mental health and violence prevention services, help people obtain lawful immigration status, and respond to declared natural disasters in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Together with Catholic Charities USA and the 12 Catholic Charities across California, We Are There for our neighbors in need. go.wearethere.us/3x5BQxz?

Catholic Charities USA is on the ground and ready with humanitarian relief in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, just as it is there for those impacted by Hurricane Helene. Here in Alameda and Contra Costa counties, we continue to support survivors of the devastating winter storms that struck Northern California in 2023, assisting families with long-term recovery goals. As the frequency and intensity of natural disasters grow, we must all work together. It takes federal, state, and local agencies as well as experienced non-profits, churches, survivors, and neighbors to draw on the strength of faith and community to rebuild and heal. ?go.wearethere.us/3x5BQxz

Huge congratulations to the The Order of Malta Clinic of Northern California on the grand re-opening of their newly expanded clinic in Oakland. Since 2008, the clinic has provided free, on-site preventative and specialized health care services to uninsured and low-income patients. Today, thanks to the expansion, even more of our neighbors will benefit from this critical and life-changing work. https://lnkd.in/gygutrnc
