The Ancient Order of Hibernians recently volunteered to sort donations at our Hope Distribution Center. The Order is a strong supporter of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas and we are blessed to have them as dedicated volunteers!

Did you know that Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas provides FREE English language classes to refugees and immigrants? These classes help individuals learn valuable skills and build confidence as they adapt to life in the U.S. This program is currently seeking dedicated volunteers who can provide English learning opportunities to refugees who struggle to attend traditional classes. Recently we recognized our #SnowBall patrons and benefactors during our annual St. Martin of Tours Mass and celebration. Special thanks to Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann, Father Mike Hawken and Father Sudeep Kodigandla for leading the Mass and to Church of the Nativity and Stephen and Shannon Clifford for graciously hosting the event.

Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas is honored to receive a $125,000 Food Insecurity Emergency Response Grant from the William G. McGowan Charitable Fund. As the cost of groceries continues to rise, more families are turning to Catholic Charities for food assistance. In recent months, we have seen a 25% increase in demand for our food pantry services. With a growing need for fresh, perishable items like dairy and produce, this generous funding will be instrumental in our efforts to address food insecurity in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We are deeply grateful for the William G. McGowan Foundation's support of our mission to address food insecurity.

Our President & CEO, Lauren Solidum, had the pleasure of meeting with the incredible students of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School - Overland Park, KS during the school's CANdyland #fooddrive last week! Every year, these dedicated Saints come together to support Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas food pantries and we are so grateful.
