Happy Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord! Today, we honor the beautiful lesson of placing unwavering trust in God's magnificent design for our lives. Just as Mary courageously embraced her divine calling, she welcomed the Christ child, our Savior, nine months later. Let's pause and reflect on how we can strengthen our faith and deepen our trust in His purpose! ???? #FaithJourney #DivinePlan

WE BURY THE DEAD WITH DIGNITY; WE COMFORT THE LIVING WITH COMPASSION AND WE PROVIDE SACRED SPACES FOR REMEMBERING.
关于我们
Our Mission As a ministry of the Catholic Church, we bury the dead with dignity and respect; we comfort the living with compassion and concern; and we provide sacred space for remembering. Our Values Faith: Grounded in our faith-based tradition, we perpetually maintain sacred space for remembering and for religious celebration of life and death. Compassion: We comfort persons who are mourning and offer opportunities for prayer and support. Integrity: Our services are reasonably priced and offered by professional staff. Dignity: Just as the human body deserves to be treated with respect in life, we treat it respectfully in death. Our History Catholic Cemeteries of Northeast Kansas began in 1967 as the Archdiocesan effort to consolidate the management of five cemeteries located in two counties, Wyandotte and Johnson. In 1971, a board of trustees was appointed to look after the care and maintenance of the five cemeteries. The original five cemeteries were: St. John Cemetery, 36th and State, Kansas City, Kansas, established in 1864; Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 38th and State, Kansas City, Kansas, established in 1901; St. John Cemetery, 89th and Pflumm, Lenexa, Kansas, established in the late 1800s; St. Joseph Cemetery, 61st and Quivira, Shawnee, Kansas, established in the late 1800’s; and Resurrection Cemetery, 83rd and Quivira, Lenexa, Kansas, established in 1954. Catholic Cemeteries of Northeast Kansas was incorporated in 1991. In 1996, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Olathe, Kansas, the parish cemetery of St. Paul Parish in Olathe, was transferred to the care of Catholic Cemeteries. Established in the late 1800s, this cemetery is located on South US Hwy 169. Also in 1996, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 126th and Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas was established, bringing to seven the number of cemeteries managed by Catholic Cemeteries of Northeast Kansas, Inc. In 2011, Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Topeka made #8 And in 2016 Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lansing became the 9th cemetery.

?? St. Patrick’s life was a testament to faith, forgiveness, and perseverance. Once a slave in Ireland, he returned as a missionary, spreading Christianity with trust in God. He used the shamrock to teach the Holy Trinity and relied on Christ’s presence in all things: "Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me…" May we follow his example—trusting in God’s guidance and sharing His love with the world. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ???? #StPatrick #Faith #ChristWithMe

???? A Heartfelt Prayer in This Bitter Cold ???? Dear Heavenly Father, as we face this harsh winter chill and snowfall, we turn to You for warmth and protection. We ask You to watch over those braving the elements, especially the homeless, the elderly, and those in dire need. May they discover shelter, warmth, and the generosity of compassionate souls. We lift up our courageous first responders, utility workers, and all those who face the cold to support our communities. Grant them safety and resilience. In Jesus' name, we humbly pray. Amen. Stay safe and cozy, and may God’s grace envelop you. ???? #WarmHearts #CommunitySupport #DivineProtection''

"Here am I, Lord; I come to do your will." (Psalm 40:8) Today’s readings remind us that true worship is not just about sacrifices but about aligning our hearts to God’s will. Jesus calls us to be part of His family by living out His will in our daily lives. Let us say “yes” to His plan with trust and faith. ?? On this Memorial of St. Thomas Aquinas, may his wisdom inspire us to seek God’s truth always. ?? #FaithInAction #DailyScripture #StThomasAquinas #HereIAmLord
