Ashlee Collins, Petway Teaching Artist Fellow in Visual Arts, shared photos from day one of the printmaking process at Ortega Elementary School. Students used erasers and were introduced to carving tools to create simple stamps. They were challenged to swap stamps and add contrasting colors to create visual interest. One student even decided to add faces to his prints. We had fun! Visit capkids.org for more info about our #artsed programs.
