Klarissa’s journey began with a suggestion from her professor to explore an HR role at Caterpillar. Intrigued by the challenge, she joined the Large Engines team in December 2021. As an HR representative, Klarissa quickly made her mark by organizing monthly engagement activities for over 2,500 employees and launching a facility-wide recognition program. ?? In 2023, Klarissa got promoted and took on more tasks. In 2024, she went on a 90-day assignment in Georgia, which helped her grow and step out of her comfort zone. ?? Now, Klarissa is a Human Resources Generalist in Seguin, Texas. She’s grateful for the experience and loves the opportunities at Caterpillar. “It was amazing to see how each facility operates differently,” she says. ?? Meet Megha, a Program Manager for Caterpillar’s Resource Industries Sales, Services & Technology division who utilizes her skills to assist customers and Cat dealers. She’s been with #TeamCaterpillar for 16 years and has held a variety of different roles, all while being an active member in employee resource groups and within her community. Outside of her professional and community engagements, Megha finds joy in exploration, whether hiking through National Parks, immersing herself in museums, traveling to learn about diverse cultures or spending time with her two boys. How does she juggle it all? We asked for her advice: “I do believe time and priority management are two skills that can really set you apart in your career. I create my own project plans and timelines. Nobody is asking me for these, but I create my own project plans with a deadline and dates defined for myself to get certain things done. This is my time management piece. For prioritization, you have to work with your team and stay aligned with your group’s strategy. ?I always say: collaboration, experience, and delegation.
