In celebration of International Women’s Month, the gals of Castle Island teamed up to create Ruby Slippers, a strawberry + raspberry fruited oat pale ale that drinks soft and smooth with a semi-dry finish. Back in January, our Head Brewer?hosted a women’s day brewing class where we worked together to build our dream recipe, from hops to ABV and even choosing the name/label design. Brewed on February 19th in Norwood, every team member had a hand in the process. It was made with a whole lot of love, and in celebration of the launch, we will be making a donation to local women’s shelters in the Greater Boston area. Allow us to reintroduce ourselves: We are Castle Island, and we believe that beer should be FUN. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, we’re here to have a good time all the time, and being excellent to each other is a top priority. This new look (or “rebrand” as our marketing team would call it) embodies all of the above. We’ve spent the past 14 months reimagining our visual brand from the ground up and we couldn’t be more stoked to finally share with you. Our new cans are slowly rolling out to retailers now, including a brand new addition to our year-round lineup: Winner IPA. It’s *super* drinkable, with notes of tangerine, lime and pomelo. It’s not quite West Coast, not quite New England, but damn good. We know we’re biased, but we named it Winner for a reason. PHEW. That felt good to finally let out. Thank you to everyone who has made this journey possible and to anyone who has ever picked up a pint, visited one of our taprooms or recommended our beers to a friend. This Saturday, we celebrated our 8th anniversary with brewery tours (for the first time in years), special beer launches and quality time with all of our favorite people. We even ended the night with a surprise guest ?? Can't wait to do it all again next year! Big things coming in 2024. #CastleIslandBrewing
