After tooling is engineered and manufactured, it is ready to go into production - which always starts with sand molding/casting the components. We pour over 1,800 molds per day with aluminum temperatures that average 1,350 Fahrenheit. Our automated molding technology and equipment enable us to cast millions of parts per year, with volumes ranging from hundreds to tens of thousands per part per year. Finally, after the parts are cast, they enter into post-casting production processes which include removing the gates/flashing, production CNC machining, and/or surface finishing which could include powder coating, polishing, or vibratory finishes. On September 24th, 2024 we broke ground on a new facility and foundry that will double our molding/melt capacity and significantly advance our production capabilities. Inside the facility will be a state-of-the-art sand casting foundry with an automated 32”x32” molding machine capable of producing 100 molds/hour, an automated mold handling line, and a complete 60 ton per hour sand delivery and return system. We are excited about our future and what this will do for our employees and customers. Stay tuned for more updates on our progress!

Yesterday, Sinto America welcomed Max Lee and Wes Smith, from Cast Products, Inc., to the corporate office and #manufacturing plant in Michigan for training on their #FBO Flaskless Molding Machine. The training was performed by Howard Adams. The team was able to discuss the technologies of the FBO in-depth and have hands on #training to help them better understand how the FBO can increase their #production and #quality. The team was also able to have valuable discussions on the FBMX-V Molding Machine and Sand System that will be installed next year. Sinto is thankful for this ongoing #foundry partnership and is excited to see them continue to lead the way in #metalcasting and #aluminum castings.

January 22, 1986 - the day Basil Wheeler and his company Cast Products took a leap into manufacturing. With less than 10 employees - most being family or friends of family, 1 gas fired furnace, a “Moulder’s Friend” sand muller, and a few old Osborn jolt-squeeze machines, CPI produced is first aluminum casting. Prior to this, CPI engineered its own products and tooling and outsourced the casting process. Fast forward to today, CPI is still in this location and has over 90,000 square feet, 200 employees, and is at the forefront of its industry with automated molding, machining, and finishing equipment. #sandcasting #Osborne #Mouldersfriend #manufacturing
