?? ???? Cass Health Registered Nurse Austin Larson presented the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award to his leadership team this summer. Larson specifically recognized Inpatient Services Nurse Manager Danielle Powers, RN for her support and also recognized the entire leadership team as playing a role in his continued success navigating both full-time employment and his service in the Guard. “My manager has never once displayed any frustration with these conflicts and has always worked with me when errors in scheduling occur to ensure that I am off for drills with no complaints or negative comments. Even when I had just started at Cass Health and had to leave for a few weeks to complete my Advanced Leader Course,” said Larson. The Health Insurance Marketplace is seeing an increase in suspicious activity by some agents and brokers selling Marketplace coverage. This may include signing you up for coverage without your knowledge or switching you out of a plan you already have and into a new one. If you believe you were enrolled in or switched to a plan without your knowledge, call the Marketplace Call Center at 1-800-318-2596 (TTY: 1-855-889-4325) and the official Marketplace representatives can help resolve any coverage issues.

Over the last two weeks, the team at Cass Health has been closely monitoring IV fluids and supplies in response to nationwide concerns regarding its continued availability. Hurricane Helene flooding caused damage to Baxter, which is the country’s largest manufacturer of intravenous (IV) fluids used in the United States. Cass Health is one of the thousands of entities regularly supplied by Baxter, who has stated it may take several months for the business to fully recover. Since then, our team immediately began discussing this issue and putting conservation practices into place. "We are committed to providing the care our patients need in the safest, most efficient way possible, while also making sure we’re prepared for whatever lies ahead," said Chief Operating Officer Amanda Bireline.
