I am proud to share that after weeks of discussions, Caspian Consulting has finalized its service agreement and is now officially recognized as a Management Consultant for Northeastern University! This is a significant milestone for me as an F1 international student who just completed his master's a few months ago- now I am an official consultant for my university through my own consulting company! I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Hamit Hamutcu for his unwavering support and for believing in me. This next part is for all of my F1 peers: While luck plays a big role in this journey, it’s crucial to recognize our own efforts and dedication. As F1 students, we don’t have the luxury to give up on our dreams. Despite the challenges we face in the US, we must remember that when opportunity doesn’t come knocking, we create it! Long story short- I am very grateful for this opportunity and I would like to be a resource for my F1 peers. Please reach out to me if you would like to talk about our shared experiences, or if you are thinking of starting your own business while in OPT, or honestly if you just need a pair of eyes or ears for something you have been working on. Looking for a Project/Product Management Consultant? Caspian Consulting is here to help! #projectmanagement #consulting #startup #f1visa #internationalstudent #opt #caspianconsulting

"I don't know where to start." So many factors go into a clearly defined project that owners sometimes subconsciously resist getting past the "ideation" phase. Because they want everything to be perfect, and they don't want any failure. We get it. At Caspian Consulting, we ask project owners- how much? - how much do they want to succeed? - how much do they believe in their team/s? - how much involvement do they want with the day-to-day? - how much impact do they want to have? - how much risk tolerance do they have? and so on. "How much budget have you allocated?" is a necessary question too, but that is a variable that can change based on scope cutbacks and timeline extensions. When we understand the owner, we understand the project, and are able to answer the - what? and how? - when? and why? - if and then. Let us help you start at Caspian Consulting ?? #projectmanagement #projectconsulting #projectsuccess

You might be wondering, why Caspian? ?? The Caspian Sea (X?z?r D?nizi) has had a special place in my life- not because I grew up spending my summers in its beaches or going for family walks along the Baku boulevard- but because of its oddity. Although it is classified as a sea due to its size and salt levels, it is landlocked and has no outlet to an ocean, which would define it as a lake. This anomaly has sparked many intriguing conversations with my friends, family, and colleagues. Some felt the need to stick to the scientific classifications, some felt the need to stick to the traditional facts. I felt the need to stick to no definition. Caspian is just Caspian. It's a shared experience woven into the social fabric of the people who live around it. Families gather for picnics on its sandy shores, international agreements are signed on its surface, fishermen cast their nets for generations, promises of forever are whispered during sunset engagement parties. From bustling ports to quiet villages, Caspian has been a thread that connects lives, cultures, and histories- Caspian has been what we made of it. So when I felt the right time arrived for this initiative, I knew in my heart that "Caspian" encapsulated exactly what I wanted to communicate. People will always want to stick to various definitions and rigid lines when a project is initiated. Differences in perspectives and opinions are inevitable- so why not take advantage of this to empower your project rather than seeing this as a threat to your success? Your project is what you want to make of it. So, I say decide against solely relying on the guidelines and so-called "best practices". Let your project form a culture true to itself and its people, rather than trying to force fit it into a box. Let your projects be Caspian- not Caspian Sea or Caspian Lake- but just Caspian. Salam! Caspian Consulting ?? I was introduced to this field called “Project Management” in 2020, right after graduating. Although I had just completed a degree in Business Administration, everything still seemed high-level, and I had trouble pinpointing where and how I can create valuable work. In my first role as a Jr. Project Manager, I got the impression that delivering value meant following orders and leading to project completion with the least amount of resources used- which was viewed as a successful project. I repeatedly ran into this notion of three ingredients to success- scope, schedule, and budget. Yes- if your project is planning a project. Sadly, once the project execution phase kicks in, plans will most likely go out the window. Life happens, circumstances change, people come and go. Throughout these past years, I learned that at the end of the day, what drives your project to success- even with an ever changing environment- is the culture that fosters a sense of belonging and ownership. Since the beginning of my professional career, I have had the chance to collaborate with many unique individual contributors as well as with stakeholders with various sets of expectations. The most prominent pain points were the following: - The project team did not feel a sense of ownership, hence did not put their 110% and -The project owners did not care about the how’s or why’s, but just demanded results. Even with the project goals clearly outlined, and every single team member fully on board, the true essence seemed to be missing. Caspian Consulting became a reality as a result of many discussions that revolved around driving projects to success without a true understanding of what that “success” looks like- let alone what goes into it. I decided that I would be the bridge between the two parties of a project, in a sense that goes beyond just delivering information back and forth. I am still in the beginning of my career, and learning is a journey that will never end. But I also believe that I have a lot to share, and I hope that Caspian Consulting will be the right channel for me to connect with people who feel the need to bring a different perspective into their projects. I aim to combine traditional and agile techniques with a unique blend of my personality and culture, and although I hope to one day expand Caspian Consulting beyond my current vision, I am ready as a one-person team to help you and your team get one step closer to success. Stay tuned, because more is to come @ Caspian Consulting #ProjectManagement #ProjectSuccess #teambuilding
