Data without action is just noise. And if you're not converting data into workflow-driven insights, you're sitting on a goldmine without a shovel.? ? Plaintiff attorneys figured it out a long time ago and they continue to transform their data into strategic advantage - analyzing jury behavior, monitoring precedents, identifying details that drive emotional verdicts. They get it! Why does it feel like so many insurers and defense firms are trapped in the administrative quicksand of spreadsheets, emails and long-form reports?? Most claims leaders I know share an urgency for better insights. They want to see and understand key developments and key actions without the noise. They want "mission control" for litigation management, where everyone aligns on the right next steps - action. It's rooted in their desire for clarity and focus. When you separate signal from noise, you reclaim valuable time for strategic thinking rather than reactive scrambling.? That's the transformation from data collection to insights to strategic action. How are you converting data to intelligence? And is it leading you toward measurable results?? ?

As a busy claims leader, which would you rather read: A lengthy status report or a focused update that delivers exactly what you need? One of our clients saw the value of faster, structured updates. They required their defense counsel and adjusters to act differently in an effort to replace exhaustive reports with structured online forms.? The impact was far-reaching:? -attorneys reclaimed valuable hours previously lost to report writing? -adjusters gained clarity without wading through unnecessary prose? -leadership got precise insights they needed for faster decisions And the ripple effects extend beyond convenience.? Defense teams that limit administrative burdens can redirect that energy toward winning strategies - deeper fact analysis, better deposition preparation, and proactive engagement with plaintiff counsel.? The focus shifts from documentation to substantive legal work – everyone wins. For carriers: reduced defense spending on administrative overhead For defense firms: more time for mastering the facts of each case rather than managing paperwork It's a simple shift with profound outcomes for carriers and defense firms who crave deeper partnerships and consistently better outcomes. I’m curious if you’ve tried implementing better communication workflows in your organization. What results have you seen???

We got started because our CEO Wesley Todd saw a better path forward for insurers based on his experience as a defense attorney representing some of the biggest insurers in Florida. And while many continue to debate its ultimate impact, from existential threat to much-less-severe, the data underpinning social inflation clearly points to one side taking specific, decisive, and prolonged action versus the other side, which - for whatever reason - has been focused on the status-quo of its models and practices even as imbalanced outcomes grow. We were built for claims leaders who want a better way to manage litigation.

I recently read a letter from Warren Buffett to shareholders that talked at length about the impact of social inflation through the lens of long-term viability for the insurance industry.? ? Having spoken on the topic and engaged in a broad set of conversations (maybe even debates) about the issue, I find the broadly varied views on the topic fascinating. Insurance CEOs, from industry giants to regional players, are highlighting the topic in earnings calls with increasing urgency. Some go as far as openly acknowledging specific struggles like escalating jury awards, while others are more general, outlining strategic pivots to the way their litigation departments operate.? In other words, we’re seeing social inflation moving from footnote to headline even in the C-suite. Why now?? ? Plaintiff attorneys have mastered a sophisticated game. They’re leveraging data with precision, including societal sentiment to execute remarkable strategy. They craft compelling narratives designed specifically to secure substantial verdicts.? Many insurers remain trapped in the status quo of running their operation, often viewing litigation as “handled” by outside counsel while failing to recognize their own opportunity to play a vital role in strategy and efficiency to mitigate outsized risk – which feels ironic, given their core business. But the status quo often wins, even here, where it’s clear that information asymmetry - among other things - has helped stack the deck toward the plaintiffs' bar. Part of the answer for carriers is Claims Litigation Intelligence. Beyond mere analytics, litigation teams need better decision support. With more noise, we need to get better at determining where to prioritize our resources, how to truly collaborate and communicate in ways that don’t feel like administrative overload.? I truly believe that the cost of not changing is too high. I’ve seen firsthand some of the top carriers turn defense into strategic advantage. The broad question facing carriers is: Do you continue lamenting the idea of social inflation, or invest in intelligent workflows to counter the trend?? ? Would love to hear your thoughts!?

Inspect what you expect (or one of many variations). It comes down to clarity and purpose. The best organizations have both and their leaders put it on display.

A hands-on leader makes all the difference, especially when you’re crushing the status-quo. I’ve observed that when executives engage with the details, everyone elevates their game. You don’t want to spend all your time in the weeds but inspect them - regularly.? One of our most successful claims leaders – a client and a friend - personally checks real-time case updates every morning. No intermediaries. No filtered reports. Just direct visibility into what’s working. Most claims leaders: "We trust our teams, so we stay out of the weeds."? Also, most claims leaders: “We need better data, better insights.” Trust is built on insights, and a five-minute daily login can reveal patterns, delays, and emerging risks before they become crises – it's simple litigation hygiene.? But it’s also transformative:? -adjusters know leadership sees their work? -files are updated promptly and accurately? -defense counsel partnerships deepen The entire organization aligns because everyone understands leadership is paying attention. It's not about micromanagement, it's about accountability. And the impact is measurable. Curious what you all think? Do claims leaders need to be more connected to the front lines? Or would that create too much operational disruption?? What's your experience with hands-on leadership? I'm interested in your perspective.? ?

Digitize. Centralize. Analyze. Better data, better insights, better decisions. ??

Collecting data isn't enough. Intelligence is the real goal.?? Everyone collects data. How many turn it into actionable intelligence?? Valuable information remains buried in emails and fragmented systems. The challenge isn't just collecting more data but rather leveraging what you already have. Insurers would benefit from faster, smarter decisions. Yet crucial insights on settlement drivers, defense performance, and cost factors are elusive because data is incomplete, unstructured and inaccessible. Imagine instead:? -a unified platform highlighting key actions? -dashboards identifying which attorneys excel in specific venues? -analytics revealing which plaintiff firms consistently drive-up demands? Data-driven intelligence with purpose. Our most successful clients are revolutionizing how they handle closed cases. They’re digitizing previously ignored files and extracting patterns to inform future strategy. It's not complex – it's different. And today’s litigation climate demands something better. Where does your organization stand? Are you collecting data because that’s what you’re “supposed to do,” or are you leveraging it for genuine competitive advantage? I'm curious about your approach. Concerning news about the state of national casualty insurance. CaseGlide declared the National Litigation Crisis in November ‘24, and the numbers are only getting worse.

While not every state is Florida, there’s plenty to learn from how Florida used actionable data to shape policies aimed at strengthening its P&C insurance market. At CaseGlide, partnering with some of Florida’s top insurers - streamlining their claims litigation processes, data collection, and ultimately supporting their regulatory reporting - was eye-opening. That data-driven insight helped demonstrate what was happening on the ground and played a part in meaningful legislative action. ???????? ???????? ???????? ?????????????????? ?????????? ?????? ??????: ?????????????????? ???? ???????????????? ???????? ????????????????????: Claims leaders and policymakers often have access to anecdotal and qualitative information but limited access to structured, quantitative data. As processes and data are standardized, we see better consensus and more foundation for progress. ???????????? ?????????????? ??????????: Viewing claims litigation management solely through the lens of defense spending and e-billing policies is costing insurers, often (ironically) with higher defense costs and larger indemnity. This gap is accelerating quickly. ?????????? ???????????? ????????????????: Outdated systems and processes generate huge volumes of disparate, unstructured data. It is the leading cause of decision lag, which erodes trust and the bottom line. There’s much more to do, and real change doesn’t happen overnight. But Florida’s experience highlights how collecting, standardizing, and sharing the right data can help us all move toward better, faster decisions and ultimately, better outcomes for everyone. ???????????????? > ????????????????????
