Knowing how to grocery shop like a pro is an ESSENTIAL skill, especially as grocery costs rise. My top tips for cutting costs without sacrificing nutritional quality? 1. Buy seasonally! Produce currently in season in PA: pumpkin, squash, carrots, Brussels sprouts, beets, and apples. 2. Buy your beans, lentils, and grains in bulk. These tend to last a long time in your pantry, and pack a punch in nutrient density. I'd recommend dried beans, dried lentils, oats, and basmati rice. 3. Shop frozen. Frozen produce is frozen at peak ripeness, preserving their nutrient density and saving you $! Thank you to Berry Metal Company & Melissa Migliaro for hosting me for this event!
