CASE was one of dozens of groups tabling at the Harbor Climate Collaborative NYC Climate Tech Showcase to exhibit transformative climate technologies, products and services. Representing CASE were graduates Nathanael Musera, M.S. Built Ecologies and Will Pepi PhD who showcased their ventures MoRF Material and BIOM respectively. Research at CASE continues to spearhead the critical environmental and humanitarian issues of our time and translate it through entrepreneurship. The NYC Climate Tech Showcase brought together a community of environmental justice focused groups who are all complementing each other’s efforts to combat climate change in New York City. CASE is proud to stand alongside such a wide pool of talent and dedication to a common mission. Read the full article on our website below! https://lnkd.in/ecZ9GmHb

CASE Faculty &?RPI Architecture?are proud to have worked with the City of Albany, Van Alen Institute?and local community partners to open Albany Hive, a Community-Led Redesign project in the West Hill neighborhood. On October, 12th we attended a ribbon cutting ceremony held by The City of Albany, Van Alen Institute, and Albany community leaders. CASE faculty member, Fleet Hower, contributed to the creation of this public park and worked directly with our partners at the Van Alen Institute (VAI) and other local organizations to transform the derelict alleyway in the West Hill neighborhood of Albany into an active community space. CASE & RPI Architecture’s contribution to this project included the creation of a stewardship and maintenance report that made recommendations for the ongoing operations at the park upon its opening. We are always excited to participate in community engagement projects with our amazing partners, as a way to provide technical expertise to inform and sometimes validate research by testing it in a project environment. We look forward to future projects and community initiatives that allow us to maximize to our impact on urban spaces.
