The California Schools JPA is comprised of two not-for-profit joint powers authorities; California Schools Employee Benefits Association (CSEBA) offering employee medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefit programs and California Schools Risk Management (CSRM) helping public schools share and manage their insurance risk exposures. We provide self-funded and owner-controlled insurance programs for general liability, property coverage, workers' compensation benefits and construction & commercial insurance. Both the CSEBA and CSRM Joint Powers Authorities combined, remain as one of the state’s longest standing and among the top five largest schools joint powers authorities in California. Simply stated, the overall CSJPA organization is a not-for-profit that provides insurance programs and risk management services for public school and community college districts.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month ??, at CA Schools JPA, we came together to raise awareness and show support for those affected by breast cancer. Did you know that about 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime? This staggering statistic reminds us of the importance of early detection and proactive health measures. Key Statistics ?? Breast Cancer Prevalence: Approximately 287,850 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S. in 2024. Survival Rates ?? Early detection and treatment have significantly improved survival rates, with localized breast cancer having a 99% five-year survival rate. Together ?? let’s prioritize our health and encourage others to do the same. Show your support by wearing pink, participating in awareness events, and sharing information about breast cancer prevention. We're still celebrating the success of the Health Fair hosted by San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools at West End Educational Service Center! ?? It was a fantastic day of connection and fun as members enjoyed winning prizes ??, the delightful aroma of freshly popped popcorn ??(Oh, hi Sherri ??), and creating their own custom floral bouquets. ?? We were thrilled to see small business owners being supported, the collaboration between SBCSS and local law enforcement, and partnership with amazing health and wellness vendors whom we love working with.
